Since I was a little boy, mechanical things have always held my interest. While in the
Army, I decided to start building a miniature engine. I thought I had an idea of what I wanted to do, however I had absolutely no idea where this journey would take me.
The 4 cylinder Coyotee and single cylinder Lil' Red are original designs that I started my miniature engine hobby with. Once these were completed
and ran, I started a 1/6th scale Chevrolet V8 based on a 327 cu. in. Corvette motor. After we started attending the PRIME show in Eugene, OR I also had the
opportunity to work on a Challenger V8 that powers a 1/3rd scale radio controlled Model T-Bucket roadster. It was in pretty rough shape and had to be rebuilt
from the ground up. While working on the Challenger, I was able to pick away at the Chevy and got it running in 2005.
However, now that the Chevy is all but complete it was time for a new challenge. I think that the Chevy 409 is a unique engine that might look good scaled down to 1/6th
scale so that is the project I am going to tackle next. Check back often for updates!
